Evans Bank: Celebrating 100 Years of Service
Evans National Bank of Angola was organized in 1920 by a group of progressive local citizens that included the village druggist, a dentist, an attorney, a farmer and a manufacturer who recognized the need for a community bank in southwestern New York State.
The new bank was capitalized with $50,000 and on January 23, 1920, received certification from the Comptroller of the Currency.
From modest beginnings in 1920, Evans is now a major player in Western New York financial services, offering commercial, small business, consumer and municipal banking, insurance, cash management, employee benefits and investments.
Amidst a century of change, there has also been extraordinary consistency.
Evans has been committed to the communities it serves for 100 years, investing in people and businesses through banking, philanthropy, community leadership, and individual and team volunteerism.
We have also proudly maintained our longstanding tradition of personal service. Our clients know they will always receive individual attention and that decisions are made locally.
We encourage you to talk to our experienced team of trusted advisors who are always available to answer any questions you might have. We look forward to discussing how “You + Evans = Better Together.”
The mission in 1920 was to provide a fair return to shareholders and be an economic force in the community. We have done that and more and we look forward to serving the community for another century.
