Because of changes to Federal Banking Regulations that took effect on July 1, 2018 (Regulation CC, which governs the electronic collection and return of checks), the endorsement requirements for depositing checks via Mobile Deposit have changed.
Going forward, please endorse your check with “For Mobile Deposit Only, Evans Bank,” and include the signatures of all payees, including business name(s), if applicable. Checks must be made payable to you.
The following is an example of how your endorsement should be completed:
Please note – checks submitted for deposit after July 1, 2018 that do not contain “For Mobile Deposit Only, Evans Bank” may not be processed. As always, please retain deposited checks for a reasonable period, not to exceed thirty (30) days. Validate that the correct amount has posted to your account and then destroy the original check.
