Important information about first-time login

Visit our website and click Online Banking Login at the top of the page to access the new login screen. Clicking Online Banking Login will take you to a new page, so be sure to delete any previously saved bookmarks and update your favorites. At the login screen, input your username and click Sign On to enter the authentication process.

Better security and advanced authentication

An enhanced two-step authentication process will be required each time you log in from a new device, including your initial login for upgraded online banking. For added security, a five-digit security code will be sent via text to your chosen mobile device (or a call placed to your land line phone). The one-time security code helps verify your identity. You will need this code as part of the initial sign-on process. Enter your security code when prompted to move on to entering your temporary password.

New password and password rules

While your username will remain the same, a new password will be required at first login. For your initial temporary password, input your five digit zip code and the last four digits of your social security number (no spaces or dashes are required). For business users, the initial password will be your five-digit zip code and the last four digits of your tax identification number (TIN). You’ll be prompted to change your password to include a minimum of eight characters with at least one number, one capital letter, one lowercase letter, and a special character. Currently, no special character is required.

Better Mobile Banking

Enhanced mobile banking is just the beginning. Whether checking your balance, depositing a check, paying a bill or transferring funds, our new app delivers a new level of speed, convenience, and security. We’ve optimized mobile performance to ensure your mobile banking tasks are quicker and easier.

The new Evans Bank mobile app is available for all your favorite mobile devices and tablets, including Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Android, and Amazon Kindle Fire. It’s better mobile banking – anytime, anywhere. Before downloading our new app, it’s a good idea to delete the old Evans Bank mobile application from your device.

Better Bill Pay

Our new Bill Pay service lets you make payments from anywhere quickly, conveniently, and securely – pay your bills on your schedule.

View and pay your bills from one easy website, schedule single, recurring, or future-dated payments; track your payment status, and history, and customize reports to track and budget spending.

 

Questions and Answers

In order to take full advantage of your new digital banking experience, there are some important actions you’ll need to take during your initial login. We recommend logging into online banking and establishing your new password before logging into our new mobile banking app for the first time.

Visit evansbank.com and click Online Banking Login at the top of the page to access the new login screen. Enter your existing username.

After entering your username, you’ll be prompted to continue with a one-time security code. This is an enhanced security measure called Advanced Login Authentication, which requires either the receipt of a phone call or text message to obtain a security code. Select the option that works best for you.

Once the security code arrives, follow the on-screen or phone call instructions to enter the code to authenticate and continue.

If you can’t remember your username, you can obtain your username by clicking on the Forgot your username? link on the Sign On screen and follow the prompts. Your username will be emailed to the email address on file with Evans.

The one-time security code helps verify your identity and protects against unauthorized access to your information. This new advanced authentication is required the first time you log into the new online banking system and each time you log in from a new device or internet browser.

If you chose the text option, click I didn’t receive a text and follow the on-screen prompts. If you chose phone call and did not receive one, please contact the Evans Customer Experience Center at (716) 926-3313 for further assistance.

At first log in, your initial temporary password will be your five-digit zip code and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

After you enter your initial password, you will then be asked to create a new password to use thereafter.

Please note: this password will be case sensitive.

Evans new Online Banking security requires stronger passwords. The requirements for your new password are:

  • at least 8 characters long,
  • contain at least 1 number,
  • contain at least 1 special character (i.e. !@#$%^&*,.<>),
  • contain at least 1 capital letter, and
  • contain at least 1 lowercase letter.

The direct access website address for online banking has changed. We recommend clicking the Online Banking Login link at the top of the evansbank.com homepage to access the new login screen, update any favorites or bookmarks previously used to access online banking.

Navigating the new Evans Online Banking is easier than before. Once you log in, you’re immediately taken to your Accounts Overview. From there, you can click any account to see transaction details and pending and posted transactions all in one place.

Using the main menu across the top, you can hover over the menu options to access services, including bill pay, alerts, statements, and other services.

The new Evans Bank mobile app is compatible with up-to-date iOS, Android, and Amazon devices. Specifically, the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, and Amazon Kindle Fire are available.

Download the new Evans Bank mobile app from the respective app store. Be sure to delete the old Evans Bank mobile application from your device.

With the Evans Online and Mobile Banking upgrade, the previous Evans Bank mobile app has been discontinued. Please delete the old app from your device and search and download the new Evans Bank mobile app in the Apple App Store, Android Marketplace, or Amazon Kindle Fire Store.

Yes. However, we recommend logging into online banking and establishing your new password before logging into our new mobile banking app for the first time.

As an Evans Online Banking customer, you automatically have access to Evans Mobile Banking. Simply download the new Evans Bank mobile app for iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Android tablet, and Kindle Fire.

If you’re a current mobile banking user, be sure to delete the existing Evans Bank app from your device.

To log in, use the same Login ID and password you use to access online banking.

After inputting your username and password, you’ll be prompted to answer a series of simple questions to help authenticate your identity. This helps keeps you safe and registers your device. Follow the on-screen prompts. After verification, you’ll see a welcome message.

The direct access link for using mobile banking on a mobile browser has changed. To access the Evans Mobile Banking web application through a mobile browser, enter evansbank.com/mobile in the browser address bar and sign into mobile banking.

The questions appearing in the mobile banking app help verify your identity, while keeping you safe and registering your device.

Answer the questions to best of your knowledge and follow the on-screen prompts. After verification, you’ll see a welcome message.

Yes. We use advanced encryption technology to ensure your information stays safe and secure. Plus, only you have access to your accounts with your username and password. Do not share your username, password, or account number with anyone.

Our new Bill Pay service allows you to view and pay bills in online banking or from the mobile app. You can schedule single, recurring, or future-dated payments; track payment status and history, and customize reports to track and budget spending.

Bill Pay can be accessed from the top menu in Evans Online Banking and from the center menu on the Evans Mobile Banking app.

If you use Quicken® or Quickbooks® in conjunction with Evans Online Banking, you must de-activate and then re-activate your account. Select your program from the list below to view or download the appropriate instructions for your account and operating system.
