Evans Bank has named Paul S. Ulrich, Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer.
Ulrich joins Evans with more than 25 years of banking and financial services experience. Most recently, he served as Executive Credit Specialist with Charter Strategies, LLC in Montvale, N.J. Previously, Ulrich was Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for Hudson Valley Bank in Yonkers, N.Y., and Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for First Horizon/First Tennessee Bank in Memphis, Tenn. He has also held senior management positions with JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Huntington Bank.
As Chief Credit Officer at Evans, Ulrich will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s overall credit strategy, underwriting, loan operations, credit risk mitigation efforts, and credit policies and portfolios.
“Paul’s years of executive management experience, extensive credit knowledge, and community banking values make him a perfect fit for Evans,” said David Nasca, President and CEO of Evans Bank. “Paul will play a key role in the growth and management of our organization through a focus on credit risk and our lending and portfolio efforts; we’re excited to have him on board.”
Ulrich earned a Master of Business Administration in financial management from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from Hofstra University. He also holds a certificate in international credit from the Darden School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.
Ulrich is a member of the Risk Management Association and has volunteered as an economic empowerment advisor for students at the Fox Business School of Temple University.
Ulrich and his wife are in the process of relocating to Western New York.
