Evans Bank announced today that it has submitted an application to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish a Business & Relationship Center in Buffalo, N.Y. at 438 Main Street in the Main Court Building. The building, which originally opened in 1963 as a home for Western Savings Bank and later used by Goldome Bank, has a long history as a banking destination.
Subject to regulatory approval, the proposed financial center would represent Evans Bank’s 15th bank location in Western New York, and the third in the City of Buffalo, joining the Elmwood Village and North Buffalo locations.
“Adding banking services to the Central Business District in Downtown Buffalo reinforces Evans’ commitment as the locally headquartered community financial institution with a comprehensive range of services,” said David J. Nasca, President & CEO of Evans Bank. “It will enhance our ability to serve more of the local community and its businesses in the radius around the heart of the City that is enjoying such a resurgence.”
The proposed Business & Relationship Center will offer full-service banking, insurance, investments and employee benefits services. It will feature a consultative setting for client meetings and as well as modern and convenient banking technologies. Evans is targeting a summer opening.
