Evans Bank (parent company: Evans Bancorp, Inc., NYSE MKT: EVBN), announced today that a temporary branch location in Lancaster is now open for business.

The permanent branch at 4979 Transit Road was heavily damaged by a fire last week. The temporary location, a12 feet wide by 60 feet long trailer, is handicap accessible and located in the parking area adjacent to the existing branch. It will be fully operational, with the exception of an on-site ATM, which is expected to follow shortly as various options are currently being pursued.

Existing staff will be operating at this location while plans for a permanent location are in process, which may take at minimum up to six months. Standard hours of operation will remain in effect Monday thru Thursday 9:00am until 4:00pm, Friday 9:00am until 6:00pm, and Saturday 9:00am until noon. Safe deposit boxes have been temporarily relocated to the West Seneca Branch, located at 938 Union Road.

“We are thrilled to reopen for business so quickly,” said David J. Nasca, President and CEO. “The Lancaster area is important to our franchise, and we are committed to limiting the amount of disruption to our customers as we work to rebuild a permanent branch location.”

Current customers of the branch can continue to contact the branch directly at (716) 681-0400, or visit the temporary location during regular business hours for all of their banking needs.
