Two longtime Western New York insurance executives have joined The Evans Agency
The Evans Agency, LLC, the wholly-owned insurance subsidiary of Evans Bancorp, Inc., has expanded its Employee Benefits division with the hiring of two local insurance executives.
Stephen G. Jepson has joined Evans as Vice President and Director of Employee Benefits. He has extensive experience in employee benefits, sales, account management, provider contracting, and underwriting. Jepson previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Crown Benefits Group, Inc., where he specialized in group benefit services. Throughout his career, Jepson has held a variety of positions, including Chief Operating Officer at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and sales and sales management positions at John Alden Life Insurance Company and Prudential Insurance Company of America.
Jepson holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing Management from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. He has served on a number of boards including United Way, The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Aspire, and more recently, Every Person Influences Children (EPIC).
The Evans Agency has also welcomed David Aston as Assistant Vice President and Employee Benefits Account Executive. Aston specializes in large group employee benefit relationships. Most recently, he served as Employee Benefits Manager for Niagara National Insurance. Previously, Aston served as a Large Group Sales Representative for BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and Self-Funding Sales Specialist for Meritain Health.
Aston holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colgate University. He is the Founder and President of Project Lifesaver WNY and serves on the Board of Trustees for Project Lifesaver International. Aston is also on the Board of Trustees for The Summit Center Foundation and a Plasma Donor for the American Red Cross.
