Kathleen Rizzo Young has joined Evans Bank as Public & Community Relations Manager. In addition to overseeing Evans public relations efforts, she will be proactively involved in managing specific community investment projects.
Rizzo Young comes to Evans with more than 20 years of industry experience at HSBC and M&T Bank serving as Senior Vice President of Community Development, President of HSBC in the Community Foundation, Senior Vice President of Group Public Affairs, and Corporate Communications Officer. Most recently, she served as a Communications Consultant and Manager of Promotions/Media at WNED | WBFO, responsible for raising the public profile of the company through strategic media outreach and community partnerships. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Daemen College.
In the community, Rizzo Young is an accomplished writer, serving as a contributing reviewer of film and books for The Buffalo News for over twenty years, and a member of the Artie Committee, which recognizes the WNY theater community with annual awards. Currently, she serves as a member of The Women’s Group and Board Chair of Second Generation Theatre. Rizzo Young has also held various positions on the boards of WNED | WBFO, Buffalo Urban League, Brothers of Mercy and the Community Music School.

Rizzo Young resides in Getzville, N.Y. with her husband Ken. They have two grown children.
